NAMI

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. Today, we are an alliance of more than 600 local Affiliates and 48 State Organizations who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need.

NAMI is a free, nationwide, peer support service providing information, resource referrals, and support to people living with mental health conditions, their family members and caregivers, mental health providers, and the public. There's a lot of uncertainty in the world right now, but one thing remains clear: people need access to mental health care and support. NAMI is here to ensure that no one is alone on their mental health journey.

Cameron Dudley Book Scholarship

The Cameron Dudley Book Scholarship fund was set up in memory of Cameron Dudley, a Westfield High School student, and NOVA Jack and Jill Teen who was tragically killed in an automobile accident during the summer while he was a student there. The need-based scholarships in the amount of $500 are awarded to promising minority university students to help cover the cost of books or fees for the recipients.  The Northern VA Chapter of Jack and Jill is proud to continually support this scholarship each year.
