One of the largest barriers standing between a vulnerable child and a permanent family is the high cost of adoption - which often ranges between $25,000 and $35,000. Gift of Adoption is a national non-profit that raises funds to provide grants to complete the adoptions of children in vulnerable circumstances – giving them a permanent family and the chance to thrive. These grants help adoptive parents cover the final costs associated with making their child a permanent member of their family.

As of December 31 2022, Gift of Adoption Ohio has awarded $700,000 in adoption assistance grants across Ohio to complete the adoptions of 211 children. 100 percent of proceeds raised through the 5k will go to the Gift of Adoption Ohio Chapter.
