The Rocketman Triathlon is a USAT Sanctioned Olympic Distance Triathlon put on by the Team Rocket Tri-Club. 2010 marks the 17th year for the Rocketman Triathlon in memory of John Masterson. The event takes place at 7:30 am on Sunday, August 29, 2010, at the Col. Hudson Recreation Area on beautiful Redstone Arsenal. This race benefits the USMCR Toys for Tots Program. This will be a great "tune-up" race for those who have qualified or are attempting to qualify for Age Group Nationals in Tuscaloosa just 4 weeks later. All participants and spectators are URGED to bring a new toy to the race. The toys should be turned in at packet pickup. If you wish to make an additional monetary donation to Toys for Tots you can donate to the program during the online registration process on imATHLETE. The race is limited to 400 competitors.
