Register for Southern Discomfort Road Race 2022
The 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 returns for 2022! Anyone who has ridden around the south end of Guam will know all too well the challenges of this hilly part of the island. The course will start on Dandan Road near the landfill entrance and proceed in a clockwise direction heading toward the turnaround at the Fort Soledad park in Umatac.
Participants can choose from either 1 or 2 laps, with each lap being approximately 32 miles. The two-lap race will serve as a qualifying event for determining the Guam team that will represent at the Pacific Cycling Championship to be held here on Guam, 11 December 2022, in conjunction with the annual Tour Of Guam.

IMPORTANT: Race day athlete check-in will close at 6:15am.
**PLEASE NOTE: This event is open to ALL cyclists, regardless whether they are intending to qualify for the Pacific Cycling Championship Team Guam. However all cyclists vying for one of the 5 available spots (5 for male / 5 for female) on the team must adhere to the following:
1. Athlete must be a current GCF (Guam Cycling Federation) member in good standing.
2. Athlete must meet all current residency requirements as dictated by the GNOC (Guam National Olympic Committee).
3. Athlete must submit a letter of intent to qualify for the Pacific Cup road team to info@guamcycling.com by Sept. 30, 2022.
4. Athlete must conform to all regulations regarding anti-doping policies as outlined by WADA (World Anti-Doping Authority) as adopted by the GNOC, and agree to testing if such tests are offered and warranted.
5. Athlete must inform the GCF of any and all medical conditions that may affect his or her performance in the intended Pacific Cup Championship events, as soon as the athlete is aware of the conditions.
6. Athlete must agree to represent the GCF and the GNOC in the utmost professional manner and capacity while competing for the federation and Guam, and that any behavior contrary to this may result in immediate revocation of athlete credentials, dismissal from competition, and could affect participation in future competition.
Registration fee is $15 for GCF members and $20 for non-members and includes an event t-shirt
