Register for Salem Spring Triathlon

Swim Swimmers will leave in a wave format based on your race division. Wave groups will gather at transition area 1 and then follow the race official holding the designated wave sign to the swim start. As one wave leaves, the "on deck" group will gather and proceed to the swim start. The swim course is an 800 meter clockwise loop that begins at the west boat ramp, proceeds around the pond, under the bridge, and finishes back at the beach area where you will exit and run to transition area 1. Large orange directional swim buoys will be placed around the course for direction. Wetsuit strippers are allowed in helping you remove your suit however move to the side so that you will not impede other athletes. Wetsuits are mandatory. Utah County Search & Rescue will be monitoring the water and your safety. Water temperature expected to be 63-68 degrees on race day. Bike The bike course is a 2 loop ride through the city of Salem. Each loop will cover approximately 6.75 miles for a total ride of 13 miles. Total elevation gain and descent per loop is 365 feet. The course will be monitored by Salem police, volunteers, and will be marked with tri. signs and cones. When you exit out of the transition area you will turn left to go around the pond. From there the course will be all right turns. Run After completing the bike course you will exit transition and proceed on the 5k run course. The run is a looping course throughout the streets of Salem and will have 2 aid stations with water and other nutritional aids. It will go the opposite direction from previous years to help alleviate cross traffic with the bike course. Follow directional signs and be sure to smile when you hit the finish line!
