2018 will be Oklahoma Freewheel's 40th cross-state ride and the 4th year we will be offering a gravel route option! Taking course over 7 days, our goal is to highlight Oklahoma's scenery and small towns, as we fulfill our mission is to promote and strengthen cycling tourism in Oklahoma. Participants, road and gravel, camp in small Oklahoma communities and their gear is transported via semi truck while they ride to the next site. Mechanical, SAG, and support is provided along every inch of each day’s marked route (excluding the optional Day 0). Our hospitable host communities organize entertainment and many different food options for riders each day, as well as information about all the sites to see at that particular day’s town. So join us June 10-16, 2018 as we discover the great state of Oklahoma from the seat of a bicycle!
