The 8th annual Granite City 5K Run/Walk for Veterans will be completed by November 5th, 2022. The event is to celebrate the servicepeople in our armed forces and raise awareness of the many challenges veterans endure. This event is produced in collaboration with the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #10 and Barre ElksLodge #1535. The registration period is open until the day of the race. This event is a celebration of all of our veterans who have served in our armed forces and to make aware of the many challenges veterans face in Vermont.
Race participants will have the option to purchase shirts with the event logo and a personalized letter. A silent auction will be held throughout the duration of the event.
All of the proceeds generated from this event goes to The Veterans' Place, Inc., in Northfield, Vermont, to support transitional housing and other services for our most vulnerable veterans.
