<b>The 2011 Escape from Ft De Soto Triathlon is now sold out</b> Welcome new and returning Escape participants! 2011 marks the 25th year for the Escape from Ft. De Soto Triathlon. To those of you who have done the event before, welcome back. To those new to the event, you may be interested to know that the park is ranked one of the top-ten beaches in the United States; nine hundred unspoiled acres surround you. First timers, we anticipate that you will have a great first triathlon at Ft. De Soto. To all, we ask that you enjoy the surroundings and please leave the park cleaner than you found it. To mark the 25th anniversary of the Escape From Ft De Soto we will follow the original course which starts from the north beach area of the park. The course will consist of .5 mile swim, 10 mile bike, and 3.4 mile run. Honoring Fort De Soto, we incorporate the stairs into the run leg of the event. Come out and celebrate the 25th year — it should be the best ever! We hope to have some athletes from the original class of 1987. Once the race sells out we will offer a limited number of Charity slots. FIrst come, First serve.
