he Cycle de Vine was a new event in 2009. Based on the popularity of the ride it is back in 2010. We have learned from our experience, which means that in 2010 it will be an even more enjoyable ride. The ride is approximately 35 miles long passing through breathtaking scenery and visiting some of the Chelan Valley's preeminent wineries. Selected wineries will host a rest stop stocked with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. The drinking of wine at the rest stop will be discouraged. Each rider will be given a punch card at registration that each winery visited will endorse. At the completion of the ride the rider will have their card endorsed by the Chelan Rotarian registrar and will be given two "wine cards" that will allow the rider to receive two (2) glasses of wine at the venue(s) of their choice paid for by Chelan Rotary. Riders of all ages will enjoy the Cycle de Vine but riders must be of Legal Drinking Age in the state of Washington in order to receive "wine cards". A number of the wineries have excellent restaurants and offer live music on weekends. Riders are encouraged to eat at the wineries and enjoy these music venues. You may even enjoy special discounts for participants.
