Actually, you can wear as much or as little as you want for this inaugural clothing-optional event, though we recommend shoes and sunscreen. The Bare Dare 5K will be held at the beautiful, upscale Caliente Resort & Spa, the nation's most elegant clothing-optional property, located in Land O'Lakes, Fla., just north of Tampa. The resort features a 30,000-square-foot clubhouse with four bars, nightclub, and fitness center. Its massive lagoon-style pool with waterfall is the centerpiece of a Caribbean-style resort that includes three other pools. Your race entry fee will provide you with admission to the resort the entire day and evening. You do NOT need to be a member of Caliente to participate in this event. The 5K course wraps around Caliente's beautiful grounds, along running trails and lakes before you cross the finish line at the foot of the Caliente clubhouse. A post-race celebration will begin shortly thereafter alongside Caliente's massive lagoon pool! This is one event you'll want to make a full day of -- or even several days. Caliente is offering a 20 percent discount on hotel rooms and waiving grounds fees (typically $30-$40 per person, per day) for visiting athletes.
