This is the 17th year for the Barkin' Dog Duathlon, Colorado's largest duathlon, and consistently the one of the largest duathlons in the Western United States. The race spent it's first seven years in the small town of Keenesburg, just north and east of Denver, but we outgrew that location and made the move to Cherry Creek State Park in 2006. This race serves as the unofficial summer season opener for Colorado multisport athletes, attracting some of the top pro's in the country as well as a whole slew of first-time multisport athletes trying something different. If you can finish a 10K, you can complete a duathlon! Participants can choose from the standard 5K Run, 34K Bike, 5K Run event or the short course which challenges participants with a shorter 1.2 Mile Run, 18K Bike, 5K Run.
