On Line Registration is now CLOSED! Please note that this race will start at the A & W on Main Street in Ravenna, Ohio at the corner of Linden St and East Main. The race will start at 8:55 AM. The finish line will be at the Ravenna Farmers Market. Set for Saturday, September 15, the race will take off right before the annual Ravenna Balloon A-Fair parade. The starting location for the race will be Havre's Woods Park, 5555 New Milton Rd, Ravenna, Ohio 44266 The Balloon A-fair Chase 10 mile run will start out in front of a big parade and run before hundreds of spectators. You will then enter a quiet wooded trail with natural beauty with a mixture of hard and soft surfaces. Turn around at a park and return through the woods before turning on a city street and re-entering the town atmosphere to the finish line in downtown Ravenna. After refreshments, head for the festival atmosphere and enjoy the party! Awards will be on the Courthouse lawn at high noon. Come and be part of the Balloon A-fair Chase! This race is strategically placed on this weekend to enable avid runners to gear up for other longer races in the northeast Ohio as well as giving new runners the taste of a longer race and conquering it. The Balloon A-Fair Chase is an excellent opportunity for the runner of the Marlene Watt Memorial Event to train throughout the summer to participate in a longer local race. After the race why not stop off at the Ravenna Balloon A-Fair which will be held downtown to hear the different forms of musical entertainment, check out the booths and try some food; a day for the whole family!
