American Legion Dyer-Gunnell Post 180 in Vienna, Virginia is honored and excited to announce the return of our annual patriotic community event typically held the weekend before Independence Day with the 2024 Celebrate America 5K!!

Join us Saturday June 29th to run or walk with (and more importantly FOR) military veterans along quiet neighborhood roads and the beautiful W&OD Trail.  Packet pick-up starts at 6:30am...opening remarks start at 7:30am...race starts immediately afterward.

Meet at Post 180 (330 Center Street N).  The course is a 1.55-mile out-and-back route taking racers from Post 180 along Center Street N to the W&OD Trail out to the turnaround point at Clarks Crossing Park and then back to the finish line at Post 180 again.

Registration Fees:

$40 online

$45 during packet pick up and on race day

Online registration closes Thursday, June 27 at 8:00pm. 

Awards to the top three male and female finishers...all registrants receive a technical t-shirt and reusable bag of patriotic SWAG and coupons from local businesses.

Our goals are to bring the community together on America's birthday and reinforce our commitment to military veterans. After the race, everyone is invited to tour our post home (the location of a Civil War-era star fort) and even join us for breakfast.
